We now leave Bolivia for our flight to Argentina.
Here is the briefing:
Here is the briefing:
A nice flight south to the wine country of Argentina
We choose the flight over the plaines and not the Andes to avoid turbulences
Here is the approach..The wind is mostly blowing from the east at this time of the year.
The MEBRA 1 arrival did fit the profile and the ILS was making sense.
We did set up that way...
We were never able to pick up the ATIS . so when we are in contact with Center we are told to expect the VOR approach for runway 18. Ok we reconfigure the approach and review it..Then as we switch controller we are told again to expect the ILS 36...bac to re-configuration..it is only a coupe of buttons.
Then we are send over to tower who told us to fly the Radial 24 to the VOR and expect a visual to runway 14.
Can these guys make up their mind.....at least the weather was clear with a broken ceiling at 3500 feet...but still I do not like the changes. If the weather would have been lessI would have requested the ILS and stuck to it...Bottom line "Speak Up" and do not let the controllers make the decision for you. You are the PIC , so act like one.
Our passengers are like I like them.
