Per every Air Journey flight, we all gather the night before departure in order to discuss the following day's route, weather and logistics. It is our time to ensure that we are all comfortable with the upcoming flight, familiarize ourselves with possible procedures, as well as the perfect opportunity to ask any questions.
Lorne and Lynn, reviewing the details of the briefing. We are leaving an airport at sea level and flying to Bogota, capital of Colombia, with an airport at an elevation of 8400 feet.
There is terrain surrounding the airport so familiarizing ourselves with where we are going is very important.
Busy ramp for our departure
The flight was a fairly straight line, no weather in sight and very clear communication throughout the flight; plus radar on arrival. I say fairly straight line because on arrival, with Nori-san at the controls, we were told to hold at 25,000 feet in order to sequence other traffic.
When I say Bogota is an international airport, I mean it, what a traffic packed airport!
We didn't get lost while on the ground. Our instructions were to follow the company plane ahead of us.
The FBO is tucked away behind the Cargo center
Our hotel is the Sofitel Bogota.
