More of Iquitos

Some sightseeing around Iquitos

Tropical town and very hot and humid

Some very nice buildings on the banks of the Amazon River have been restored to their ancient splendor.

The Amazon has also changed course and no longer runs through the middle of town

Peru and the Amazon is home to the Anaconda. I must say, I am happy we didn't see any on this trip. We decided to charter a boat and see the floating town of Belen, while waiting for our Cruise ship friends.

Nice bird able to walk on water with his large feet

Floating village of Belen

Everything happens on water

School

Transportation

I might take some bike lessons there

Every brand of Tuk Tuk is represented

We then continued on to where the Amazon merges with the two other rivers. The colors of the two currents don't match for miles. Its a neat sight.

We were not tempted by the local food

Shrimps, like the one in Belgium....

Turtle egg

our fast boat transportation for our mini cruise on the Amazon

Indy had to wear a life vest to go outside

Nori-san too
